David Sabella in "Sing, You Sinners" at JUDY'S CHELSEA

Celebrating our favorite vices!

David Sabella, who created the role of Mary Sunshine in the original Broadway revival of "Chicago," will bring his unique talents to JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) this April and May when "Sing, You Sinners" makes it's premiere. The show will run Saturdays, April 27th, May 4th, 11th and 19th, and Sundays, May 12th and 19th. All shows begin at 8:30 pm. There is $15 cover charge, and a $10 food and drink minimum.

After the overwhelming and sold-out success of David's first cabaret outing, "No More Mrs. Nice Guy," also at JUDY'S, David returns to premiere a new show of both standard and contemporary material, this time without the dress! Songs included in "Sing, You Sinners" include "No Moon at All" and "Easy to Love," as well as Bob Ost's "Slow," Adam Guettel's "Icarus," and, of course, the title song, "Sing, You Sinners." Featured at the piano will be Musical Director Mark Hartman, and David will be accompanied by one of the hottest jazz trios in town.

In 1996, David starred in the Broadway revival of "Chicago," along with Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking and Joel Grey. Off-Broadway theatre credits include "So Long 174th Street," "FOXY" and "Watch Your Step." His voice can also be heard on several network television cartoon series, including "Teacher's Pet" for Disney. As a Countertenor in classical music, he won The Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in 1995. David has appeared twice on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and has been featured in national magazines including Opera News, In Theater, Entertainment Weekly and A&U. His personal caricature was unveiled in June of 1998 and hangs in Sardi's, the world-famous theater restaurant.
