Robyn McCorquodale is "Up Ahead" at DANNY'S

Singer/pianist/songwriter, Robyn McCorquodale performs "Up Ahead," Thursday, November 7th at 7:00 pm, at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/). Robyn will sing and play piano with Jon Herington on guitar and Ritt Henn on bass. There is a $12 cover and $10 food/drink minimum.

The show, "Up Ahead," features a collection of songs celebrating the mystery and passion of life, featuring many original compositions from her award-winning debut CD of the same name, as well as a few standards and contemporary pop songs.

Robyn is a classically trained musician with a Bachelor of Music Degree in voice and piano. With a combined performance background in music, live theatre and television broadcasting, she has performed in major hotels and on exclusive cruise ships around the world, including Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, Central, North and South America. She has made several live radio and television appearances performing her own compositions, with an upcoming feature on NPR, Weekend Edition with Scott Simon.

Robyn's CD, "Up Ahead," which is receiving radio airplay in both Canada and the United States, features twelve songs, ten self-penned and two co-writes with Grammy-nominated producer Michael Creber, formerly k.d. lang's musical director for five years. Lyrical melodies, compelling rhythms, with thoughtful and spiritually based lyrics, combine to convey messages of beauty, hope and inspiration. The award-winning song, "Sad Eyes," reflects her experience living in Southeast Asia, singing for one of the richest men in the world.
