Nominee Parker Scott's AWAITING YOU Returns to Don't Tell Mama

Nominee, actor-singer Parker Scott, returns with his critically acclaimed
show, AWAITING YOU, at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC
- 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/),
on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30 pm and on Tuesday, October 15th
at 6:00 pm. The show features Rubin Kodheli on cello, with arrangements
by music director and pianist Dick Gallagher. Direction is by Gerry
Geddes. There is a $15.00 cover charge and a 2-drink minimum.
The song list is a romantic
collection of songs by contemporary composers Adam Guettel, Lee Holdridge,
John Bucchino, Anthony Gaglione and Paul Williams mixed with standards
by Irving Berlin, Frank Loesser, Richard Rodgers and Henry Mancini.
As an additional bonus, Parker will be performing a brand new song
by the legendary singer-songwriter Janis Ian, which has not yet been
heard by audiences in New York City.
Parker's previous nightclub
appearances include engagements at Danny's, The Duplex and Eighty
Eights. His New York theatrical performances include Roy in The Odd
Couple and Giles Ralston in The Mousetrap; in regional theater he
has appeared as The Wolf/Cinderella's Prince in Into The Woods, Magaldi
in Evita, Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, Christopher Wren in The
Mousetrap and Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden.
Parker recently performed
the role of Donald in the opera, Gallantry, as a guest artist with
the students at Towson University in Towson, MD, where he also led
a master class on cabaret performance. In addition, Mr. Scott has
sung with the Washington, Baltimore, and Wolf Trap Opera Companies,
The National Symphony and performed the role of Monostatos in The
Magic Flute at the Bay View Music Festival.
