More Cabaret-Style Dinner Shows at The Inn on Newfound Lake
At
Last! and Valerie Sneade Productions are bringing a celebration of
cabaret dinner shows and demonstrations rarely seen outside of New
York City for four more shows at THE INN ON NEW FOUND LAKE (Route
3A, Bridgewater, NH - 603-744-9111 - http://www.newfoundlake.com/).
There will be performances on Saturdays, September 21st & 28th, and
October 5th & 12th. Dinner is at 6:30, and the show is at 7:30 pm.
Opening
the series on September 21st will be award winning cabaret artist
Valerie Sneade in her raucous show I GOT THE MUSIC IN ME. A 2001 IRNE
(Independent Reviewer of New England) award-winning cabaret artist,
Valerie Sneade sings up a storm in her brand new, raucaus performance.
This show puts the spotlight on Sneade's musical diversity in her
ability to sing anything. Expect to hear a range of musical stylings
from Ella Fitzgerald & Judy Garland to the smooth timeless melodies
of Burt Bacharach and Carole King to down and dirty R&B music.
On
September 28th will be the national, critically acclaimed AN EVENING
WITH CAROL CHANNING starring Richard Skipper. This show is an intimate
tribute which brings the audience back to a time of clean, wholesome
entertainment. It features musical highlights from both GENTLEMAN
PREFER BLONDES and HELLO DOLLY! along with familiar standards and
original material. AN EVENING WITH CAROL CHANING surveys Channing's
life and resume with many stops along the way for Skipper's unique
and riotous "ad lib" interactions with the audience. Most recently
he has performed at Carnegie Hall, on LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN,
and with Carol Channing herself at The Palace of Fine Arts in San
Francisco. Richard regularly appears in many of the nation's esteemed
performance spaces across the country including The Taj Mahal, The
Casino Windsor, and The Friar's Club. You can read more about Richards
Skipper on his website at http://www.richardskipper.com/.
On
October 5th will be the "Queen of Boston Cabaret", Carol O'Shaughnessy
in her hysterically poignant show, JUST FOR LAUGHS. Ms. O'Shaughnessy
opens the rioutous show with "A Loud and Funny Song" and closes it
with "I Only Wanna Laugh." Whether she soars through her "Peter Pan"
medley" or has you tapping your feet to "Shakin' The Blues Away,"
this is O'Shaughnessy at her finest! She also brings to the stage
fun and zany characters. Her most famous is the comic, crazed, Italian
mother, Mama Scugliachi! You can read more about Carol O'Shaughnessy
on her website at http://showgigs.com/caroloshaughnessy.
Closing out the season
will be Boston based singer/actress Ida Zecco in her theatrical extravaganza
STUFF MY MOTHER TOLD ME. This show is a theatrical, musical and comical
diary of home, family and self. Ida Zecco weaves her story and music
in a way that you will not know when her story ends and yours begins.
She touches the truth in all of us. In a performance that entertains
and inspires. You can read more about Ida Zecco on her website at
