NeoNeo Theatre Company presents VERSATILITY at THE DUPLEX

4 One-Act plays displaying the diverse talents of NeoNeo company members

NeoNeo Theatre Company presents VERSATILITY, an evening of four short plays by NeoNeo members at THE DUPLEX (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) on four Tuesdays in September, the 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th at 7:00 pm. There is a $7 cover and 2-drink minimum. The plays are written by NeoNeo member playwrights Clarinda Karpov, Julian Sheppard, Chris Mann and Bradley Spinelli and directed by Jonathan Warman. NeoNeo member actors Troy Carson, Judson Davis and Timothy James O'Brien take roles in each play.

FABLIAU by Clarinda Karpov (World Premiere) tells of a prince who doesn't want to be a prince, who encounters a magic frog who's dead bored with being a magic frog. It is a jaunty absurdist fable in Renaissance garb.

THE DEMO by Julian Sheppard portrays a junior executive at an MTV-like network, who has just grown out of the network's target demographic, and faces a tense and funny meeting with his boss.

VIEW FROM THE TOP by Chris Mann (New York Premiere) is about two gay "players" who share a mystery-laden tryst in a tenth-floor room in a Las Vegas hotel/casino with a view of the gambling floor.

PRETTY MOUTH by Bradley Spinelli, after J. D. Salinger (World Premiere) is about a late-night cell phone conversation between friends that reveals a comic cycle of gay love ... and deception.

The NeoNeo Theatre Company, founded in late 2001 by Jonathan Warman and Troy Carson, is committed to creating theatre that engages audiences on as many levels as possible, and to pursuing projects that its members feel passionate about, whether new or classic. Warman is best known to New York audiences as Director of AMERICAN FABULOUS, NeoNeo Theatre Company's inaugural production, starring Mr. Carson. He has also served as Assistant Director for Richard Schechner's production of THE THREE SISTERS at La MaMa ETC.
