Sharon McNight Offends Almost Everyone in Late Night Run at JUDY'S CHELSEA

The irrepressible and irreplaceable Sharon McNight is performing a new edition of her wild and ribald "Songs to Offend Almost Everyone" at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) on Thursdays in October at 10:30 pm and Saturdays at 11:00 pm. On Thursday, October 30th (HALLOWEEN) the show will be at 8:30 pm - that's enough to scare almost everyone). She is joined by Ian Herman at the piano.

McNight's show is designed to "offend people with good taste of almost every persuasion." McNight adds, "It's an overview of forbidden words and offensiveness. We present under-the-table tunes that could rattle a bus load of repressed Puritans." Attendees can expect to hear the singer-actress interpret such tunes as Randy Newman's "Political Science," Stephen Sondheim's "I Never Do Anything Twice," Chet Atkins' "Would Jesus Wear a Rolex on His Television Show," and Tom Lehrer's "The Old Dope Peddler."

A Tony Award nominee for her work in the Broadway show "Starmites," McNight recently starred in the York Theatre Company's acclaimed production of "Red Hot Mama," about the legendary Sophie Tucker. Her regional theatre credits include Amanda McBroom's "Heartbeats" at the Pasadena Playhouse, Dolly in "Hello, Dolly!" at the Peninsula Civic Light Opera, and Sister Hubert in "NUNSENSE" in both Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Sharon will also be offering her CDs for sale after the show. For more information check out http://www.sharonmcnight.com/.
