AUDREY LAVINE RETURNS TO JUDY'S CHELSEA WITH SPRING SHOW

Audrey Lavine returns with her newest cabaret show, "Simply Lavine," Sundays, April 14th, 21st & 28th at 3:00 pm, at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/). Musical director is Ross Patterson. Brunch seating starts at 1:30 pm.

In the show "Simply Lavine," Ms. Lavine welcomes the changing season while exploring old favorites and new discoveries with a fresh view. It's not the same old Gershwin, Rodgers & Hart and Irving Berlin, but they will be there. And with the masterful and lush arrangements of Ross Patterson, even fan favorites such as "Let Yourself Go," "'Round Midnight," or "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" have a new ring.

The 2001 Bistro Award Winner (Outstanding Vocalist) and 2001 MAC Award winner (Female Vocalist), Ms. Lavine displayed her range and versatility in recent shows celebrating Harold Arlen (to be recorded this Spring,) and the award winning "Dancing." A master at blending familiar and undiscovered treasures from the golden age of popular song with more contemporary tunes, one critic notes, "most of the songs were older than I am, and yet presented with such refreshing energy they seem like they were just written yesterday!"

Audiences of Audrey's shows know they can expect warmth, wit, something old, something new, something old that sounds like new...and definitely something blue.
