- Kevin Scott Hall to present "All About CDs" -

Three-time independent recording artist Kevin Scott Hall (New Light Dawning, Holiday Spirit and Live at Middle) will present an A to Z seminar on financing, creating and promoting your independent recordings on Saturday, November 2nd from 1:30 to 5:00 pm at THE SANFORD MEISNER THEATER (164 Eleventh Avenue, NYC). Topics include finding a producer and studio, packaging and manufacture, song licensing, radio promotion, attorneys, accountants, internet and distribution. Cost for the lecture is $75 in advance, $80 cash at the door. Reservations can be made by calling 212-262-2577.

Part lecture, part motivational speech, part talk show, and part theatrical experience, Hall will enlighten his audience with tales of the pitfalls and humiliations associated with such an endeavor. Participants will be treated to reams of information, tidbits, anecdotes, various helpful handouts (alone worth the price) and networking opportunities with the guest panelists Hall has assembled for a question-and-answer session after the lecture.

Scheduled to appear on the panel are:

Bolden Abrams Jr., a Philadelphia-based music publisher (Coffee & Cream Music) and record producer. His publishing and producing credits include Dionne Warwick, Chuck Jackson, Evelyn Champagne King, Darrall Campbell and Sharon Katz & The Peace Train. Abrams is also a successful songwriter. He is also a noted speaker at nationwide conferences and seminars.
