New York Song Stylist, Kelly Ford, Debuts on the North Shore, Massachusetts.

THE EAGLE HOUSE (Route 133, Rowley, MA - 978-948-6666) will host an evening of cabaret featuring New York City vocalist Kelly Ford in her show entitled "Gotta Have Me Go With You" on Saturday, March 23rd in celebration of Cabaret Month. Ms. Kelly Ford brings her imaginative and energetic show to the North Shore in celebration of a little known but powerful genre of music known as "cabaret."

Just as American football bears no resemblance to the European game of the same name, American cabaret bears little resemblance to the bawdy, raucous shows born in the smoky clubs of Paris in the 20s. American cabaret turns the spotlight on the singer and the song, creating an intimacy with the audience not found in any other live forum.

A seasoned pro, who has shared the stage with the likes of Rita Moreno, Karen Akers, and Jose Ferrer, Ford's show begins with its title song "Gotta Have Me Go With You" from the Judy Garland film classic "A Star is Born," and moves to Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Ten Minutes Ago," and from Cinderella to Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies" to contemporary pop. The show is sprinkled with Ford's personal observations on life, love, music and more - in a light, almost comedic delivery.

Popular North Shore pianist Sarah German is musical director and her roots in composition show in her intricate arrangements. She has pulled out all the stops with this show tailor-made for Kelly Ford's range - both vocal and emotional. A highlight is German's classical treatment of Brenda Russell's "Piano in the Dark" in which she takes the spotlight showing off her immense talent.

The night begins upstairs at THE EAGLE HOUSE at 7:00 pm with a performance by North Shore vocalist Sally Millice (also with musical director, Sarah German). Her cover charge is $10 with a 2 drink minimum. Kelly Ford hits the stage at 9:30 pm with a $12 cover and 2 drink minimum. See both shows for the price of $20 or make an entire evening of it, dining first on "imaginative American Cuisine" in the restaurant's dining room and finishing the evening upstairs with one or both of these exciting live shows.
