"Jamie deRoy & friends" Devotes Show to Mary Cleere Haran

"Jamie deRoy & friends," the award-winning cable television show, will devote its next episode to the music of cabaret superstar Mary Cleere Haran and her accompanist Sir Richard Rodney Bennett. The episode will air on Tuesdays, July 30 and August 13 at 8:00 pm in NYC on Time Warner Channel 67 and RCN Channel 110. (Times and dates vary in other markets.) The half hour episode will feature a conversation and performances from Ms. Haran and Sir Richard taped at last spring's MAC/ASCAP Songwriters Showcase. Songs include "It's De-lovely," "Harlem on My Mind" and "Lullaby of Broadway."

Ms. Haran has been a leading cabaret performer for more than a decade, having played Manhattan Theatre Club, The Oak Room, The Cafœ Carlyle and Rainbow & Stars. She has also recorded numerous albums, including "This Funny World" and "Crazy Rhythm."

Sir Richard is one of the world's foremost composers and arrangers. He has scored more than 20 films, including Murder on the Orient Express, Billy Liar and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

On August 27, Ms. deRoy's show will feature selections from the August 6th MAC/ASCAP Songwriters Showcase. The evening's special guest is Stephen Schwartz, the award-winning composer of GODSPELL, PIPPIN and THE MAGIC SHOW. "Jamie deRoy & friends" is the recipient of nine Telly Awards. It is directed by Barry Kleinbort, and taped by Applause Video. In addition to New York City, its markets include Brooklyn, Westchester, Long Island, Connecticut and Washington, DC.
