Sharon DiCostanzo Stars in "Happiness: Songs I Love to Sing"

DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) welcomes back songstress Sharon DiCostanzo for her third solo engagement. Encompassing a variety of styles, the evening includes standards, jazz, and sparkling one-of-kind arrangements as well as original material. Sharon appears at the renowned New York City cabaret venue for three performances only, on Thursday, April 18th at 9:00 pm, and Sundays, April 21st & 28th at 8:30 pm. There is a $10.00 cover and a two-drink minimum.

A veteran of countless stage roles across the country including Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl," Kaye in "The Taffetas," Sister Robert Anne in "Nunsense," Oolie/Donna in "City of Angels," and Babe in the "Pajama Game," Sharon began turning her innate musicality and lifetime of study from theatrical to cabaret performance when she debuted her first one woman show, "Sing Something Simple," at DON'T TELL MAMA two years ago to great acclaim.

Since then, she has continued to explore new musical landscapes with arranger/musical director Barbara Anselmi and director Gary Slavin. The team has created this, their third cabaret collaboration, with only one guiding principle: Sing songs you love to sing, because singing them makes you happy. After experiencing the great joy this talented vocalist brings to each musical moment, Sharon's audiences will no doubt be happy too.
