Moira Danis is back at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) with a new show entitled "First Childhood." Following her successful engagement at the well-known midtown ~ cabaret room last September, the Iyrical soprano and dedicated music teacher has designed a new show which will be presented on Saturday May 4th, 11th, 18th at 6:00 pm. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink minimum. Moira is accompanied by jazz pianist Gregory Toroian and is directed by Bistro award winning director Gerry Geddes.

In "First Childhood," Moira explores the formative years through a mix of stories, memories and music. As an elementary school music teacher, Ms. Danis encounters, and sometimes regresses to the territory of a child's world every day. She conjures the qualities of childhood shared by us all, using experience as a guide and including songs by R. Kelly, Jimmy Webb, Carly Simon and Stephen Sondheim.

Ms. Danis has performed at Palsson's Supper Club and the Paul Revere Room at the former Hotel Lexington. She has appeared in Off-Broadway productions of "The City Suite," "Ruddigore" and portrayed Julie in a regional theatre production of "Show Boat." Moira is a member of Actors Equity Association, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and currently teaches music in Westchester County.
