Mychelle Colleary Returns With "From Alcatraz To SingSing"


San Francisco/New York singer Mychelle Colleary returns with her show "From Alcatraz To SingSing" to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) for one night only, on Wednesday, August 28th at 9:15 pm. There will be a $10 music charge and a $10 food/drink minimum.

"From Alcatraz To SingSing" will feature selections from Ms. Colleary's CD, "After Hours a The Plush Room," as well as tales of escaping "from Political Correctness fascism to the land of idiosyncratic rules."

Prior to the critically acclaimed release of her new CD in San Francisco at the famed THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/), Mychelle made her New York cabaret debut with her show "What If The Hokey Pokey Is What It's All About?" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/).

In San Francisco Mychelle hosted the ongoing "Song Of The Month Club" at MARTUNI'S (4 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-241-0205), performed with the female vocal trio The Kitchenettes at THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/) and other venues.She also performed at the 2000 and 2001 San Francisco "TeddyCares" benefits. Mychelle has shared the stage with such jazz greats as Bobby McFemn, Richie Cole, Claire Fisher and Carl Anderson.

Bay Area audiences have heard her perform folk-rock at The Fillmore, Turkish Sufi music at The Palace of Fine Arts, and Bach with the San Jose Symphony Orchestra. Mychelle's original songs can be found on her debut CD "Analgesic," released in 1999.
