Award-Winning Alexandra Billing's returns to New York Cabaret

Lampkin Music Group is pleased to present the return of Chicago favorite, Alexandra Billings, to New York for two shows only, at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) on Friday, July 26th at 8:00 pm and Saturday, July 27th at 7:30 pm. There is a $12 cover charge, 2-drink minimum.

Alexandra will be accompanied by Steven Ray Watkins. Ms. Billings returns to NYC for the first time since receiving the MAC/Hanson award at the 2002 MAC Awards held in April.

This has been a busy two year period for this actress/singer with roles ranging from the title character in "Xena" to the "mother of all stage mother" roles as Mama Rose in the classic "Gypsy," to playing Perry in "Waving Goodbye" at the Steppenwolf Studio Theater, a role that was especially written for her talents by playwright Jamie Pachino; to releasing her debut CD "Being Alive" on Southport Records. Alexandra also recently made her NY theater debut as Gertrude in "Melancholy Baby" at the newly opened ARS-NOVA THEATER (511 West 54th Street, NYC).

In addition to the MAC/Hanson Award, Alexandra was also recently honored at the Inaugural "Celebration of Life Gala" benefiting Chicago AIDS charity "Season of Concern." This year's gala, held on Monday, June 3rd at GENTRY ON STATE (440 North State Street, Chicago, IL - 312-836-0933 - http://www.gentryofchicago.com/), honored this multi-talented Chicago native, now living with AIDS for 15 years.
