VARLA JEAN MERMAN DECKS TOWN HALL FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY TO BENEFIT GOD'S LOVE WE DELIVER!

The Illyria Theatre in association with Whole Foods Market present Varla Jean Merman in Benefit featuring Betty, Jackie Hoffman, The Kinsey Sicks, Maggie Moore, Seth Rudetsky and Kristine Zbornik.

"VARLA-LA-LA-LA. LA-LA-LA-LA" was heard from the Westside highway to the FDR as the holiday hoofer, Varla Jean Merman, rehearsed with her very special friends for an upcoming holiday concert to benefit God's Love We Deliver. VARLA-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA-LA! - a feel-good Yuletide extravaganza - is coming to New York's TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC) on December 17th at 8:00 pm and it will be Varla's only New York appearance this year. This legendary entertainer has chosen The Big Apple as this year's recipient of the best Christmas gift she could ever give -- a big piece of herself wrapped up in the zaniest holiday concert to ever hit the boards. Tickets are available for $25, $45 $75 by calling Ticket Master at (212) 307-4100 (www.ticketmaster.com or in person at the Town Hall box office.

And she's not alone! With the help the loudest belter this side of Prague, Kristine Zbornik, Ms. Merman has traversed afar to help cook up a splendid array of holiday chestnuts. And what holiday show would be complete without the help of the Harlem Boys Choir? Well, this one! Also performing for God's Love We Deliver, will be the band Betty, Jackie Hoffman, The Kinsey Sicks, Maggie Moore and Seth Rudetsky.

Directed by Gordon Greenberg, VARLA-LA-LA-LA-LA, LA-LA-LA-LA will give New Yorkers a delicious occasion to watch Miss Merman takes on the Grinch and Shirley Bassey in the explosive SILVER AND GOLDFINGER; be strangely dazzled and horrified as Miss Merman turns the Rosemary Clooney classic SUZY SNOWFLAKE into "classy" burlesque; and witness a reunion of Miss Merman and her estranged dead mother.

Varla Jean Merman is the "rumored love child" of Ethel Merman and Ernest Borngnine and is the creation of Jeffery T. Roberson who recently made his London debut in "The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman" at the Soho Theatre on the West End. He is currently performing a five week run of his new show "All Washed Up" until December 2nd at the Renberg Theatre in Los Angeles. Mr. Roberson has played the role of Mary Sunshine in the hit Broadway musical "Chicago" and has toured internationally with his award-winning, critically-acclaimed multi-media cabaret acts.

Whole Foods Market is proud to be baking up high-heeled gingerbread cookies for an in-store appearance by Varla Jean Merman on Monday, December 3rd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Varla Jean will be teaching her fans how to decorate Holiday cookies -- Move over Martha -- here comes Varla! If you love the way Ms. Merman tackles a can of easy-cheese on stage, wait until you can see what she can do with a pastry bag! Whole Foods Market is the nation's largest retailer of Natural and Organic foods with over 120 stores from coast-to-coast. New York City first got to experience the wonder of Whole Foods Market earlier this year when they opened their doors at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 24th Street in Chelsea. Whole Foods Market is a proud supporter of God's Love We Deliver.
