Dane Vannatter Returns to Perform at Regattabar for Benefit Concert

Two shows planned for Friday, October 12, 2001

Dane Vannatter will perform two shows on Friday, October 12th at 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm at the REGATTABAR in the Charles Hotel (One Bennett Street, Cambridge, MA - 617-876-7777). Proceeds of both shows will benefits the relief efforts related to the September 11th terrorist attack on New York and Washington, DC.

Vannatter will be accompanied by Bill Duffy on piano, David Landoni on bass, George Farrell on drums, John Baboian on guitar and Kenny Wentzel on horns and flute. Special guests will include Ricardo Monzon on percussion and backup vocalists Athene Wilson and Tony Anderson.

Vannatter recently released his third CD, "Double Standards," a new collection of the swinging and the soulful, ranging from the standards of Rodgers & Hart, Hoagy Carmichael and Stephen Sondheim to classic rhythm & blues tunes.

Vannatter is recipient of the prestigious Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Recording for his second CD "Flight." Dane Vannatter's recordings are available on his website http://www.danevannatter.com/ and are distributed nationally by Original Cast Records.
