"Broadway
Helping Hands Benefit Concert" Set For TOWN HALL on November
17th
On November 19th, CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE's own Scott Siegel
will be producing a special benefit at TOWN HALL (123 West
43rd Street, NYC), with the funds raised to be used to purchase tickets
for Broadway shows during January & February 2002, which will be given
to the families of the victims of the September 11 events, as well
as to firefighters, police, etc. The distribution of tickets will
be handled by the Mayor's Office. The title of the show is "Broadway's
Helping Hands Benefit Concert."
As of this
moment, the talent for the show will include Chita Rivera, Carolee
Carmello, Judy Kuhn, Emily Skinner, Stephen Schwartz, Emily Loesser,
Andrea McCardle, Bryan Batt, with many more to be announced later.
All performers will sing Broadway show tunes, as this will be a celebration
of Broadway. Ticket prices will be a very reasonable $30 for most
seats and $25 for the back of the balcony. Tickets will go on sale
early this week via TicketMaster at 212-307-4100.
