Performance Group presents THICK TUESDAYS - A Monthly Salon for Cabaret
Performance.
Produced and
hosted by Lua Hadar and Linda Kosut at THICK HOUSE THEATRE
(1695 18th Street, San Francisco, CA), a new, beautiful and intimate
black box theatre (raked seating for 80 people) in the Potrero Section
of San Francisco; great stage, sound and lights.
The focus
is on performers and their audience. Bring your music, your friends
and your enthusiasm. This is a work-in-progress! Come and be a part
of building something new for the San Francisco cabaret community!
THICK TUESDAYS
will offer a combination of the following formats and will provide
a sensitive accompanist and an acoustic piano:
- - "SIGN
UP & SING": Sign up at the event and perform 2 songs. (This
will also give us a chance to get to know you, if we don't already,
if you want to do Short Sets or Test-Drive at a future Thick Tuesday
event.).
- - "SHORT
SETS": Contact us ahead of time if you want to do a short set,
no more than 15 minutes (3-4 songs plus patter).
- - "TEST-DRIVE":
Contact us ahead of time if you would like the opportunity to test-drive
the show you're currently developing. You will have 45-50 minutes.
Bring your own pianist for this one.
- -"ENSEMBLES":
Sign up during the evening for vocal duets, trios, quartets. Sit
in for a couple of numbers if you are an instrumentalist. This will
be arranged on the fly during the evening.
Contribution:
$5 cash at the door (B.Y.O.Beverage - white wine allowed in the lobby;
water allowed in the theatre)

Mostly 2nd Tuesday of every month: 2/13, 3/13, 4/3, 5/8, 6/19, 7/10,
8/14, 9/11, 10/9, 11/13, and 12/11.
