"JANE EYRE" Star Mary Stout
Debuts New Cabaret Act At STUDIO 54

April 23 & 24 Show Benefits Marcia Shew Fund For Pediatric AIDS

Actress MARY STOUT, currently earning raves as the humorous housekeeper in the Broadway musical "JANE EYRE," will debut her new cabaret act at UPSTAIRS AT STUDIO 54 (254 West 54th Street, MNYC - 212-280-1360) on Monday, April 23rd at 8:30 pm and Tuesday, April 24th at 11:30 pm. The show, a mixture of comedy and music, is called "LIGHTER THAN EYRE" and will benefit The Marcia Shew Fund for Pediatric Aids.

Ms. Stout, who has appeared on Broadway in "MY FAVORITE YEAR," "ME AND MY GIRL," "COPPERFIELD" and "A CHANGE IN THE HEIR" in addition to "JANE EYRE," is best-known to TV audiences as 'Eugenia' in the award-winning TV series REMEMBER WENN, a role she played for four seasons. Mary, who has been associated with "JANE EYRE" since the first reading at the Manhattan Theatre Club, received unanimous raves for her performance in the musical currently playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

"Lighter Than Eyre" promises to showcase Mary's decidedly upbeat and occasionally silly outlook on life including such autobiographical numbers as "Character Gal," "The Alto's Lament" and her popular salute to the legendary Sophie Tucker. Mary will be accompanied by Musical Director Christopher Marlowe on piano and Leo Grinhauz on cello. Lee Tannen is Producer and Director of "Lighter Than Eyre," with Will Campbell as Associate Producer.

Reservations for "Lighter Than Eyre" can be made by calling 212-280-1360. Tickets are $30 ($20 for members of Actors' Equity or MAC) plus a 2 drink minimum. Credit cards accepted for drinks only.
