
THE
STOREFRONT presents Arise Benefit September 24th

The Storefront to present
a very special Benefit on Behalf of the victims of the World Trade
Center Disaster
New York - On Monday, September
24th at 8:00 pm, The Storefront (http://storefronttheatre.com)
will present Arise, a benefit on behalf of the victims and families
of the WTC disaster. The benefit will be held at METRO BAPTIST CHURCH
(410 West 40th Street, NYC). A suggested donation of $20 will be taken
at the door. All proceeds will benefit the World Trade Center Disaster
Relief Fund.
Scheduled to perform are
composer/singer John Bucchino, currently a sell-out at New York's
FireBird Cafœ, Broadway/film composer Stephen Schwartz (the composer
of PIPPIN, GODSPELL and Academy-Award winning lyricist of "The Hunchback
of Notre Dame" and "Pocahontas"), composer David Friedman (film "Trick"
and numerous recorded songs), Broadway performers David Sabella (original
Mary Sunshine in the CHICAGO revival), and Alison Frasier (Tony nominee,
THE SECRET GARDEN), Anne Runolfsson (Broadway and recording artist),
as well as MAC Award-winning cabaret performers Amanda Green, Natalie
Douglas, Audrey Lavine, James Beaman, David Gurland, Charles Cermele
and Karen Mack. Broadway performer Robin Lyon will perform, as well
as pop music's Michael Holland.
Arise will be a concert
format of poignant and uplifting music. Notably, a choir presentation
of a new song by David Friedman will be included, Stephen Schwartz
will perform his own composition, "Beautiful City," and Alison Frasier
will perform The Secret Garden's "Hold On."
