THE STONEHAM THEATRE PRESENTS CABARET REVUE "BEWITCHED, BOTHERED AND BEWILDERED"
AUGUST 25th & 26th

Kathy St. George will co-star with Robert Saoud and Bobbie Steinbach, in "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered," at the STONEHAM THEATRE (395 Main Street, Stoneham, MA - 781-279-2200) August 25th at 8:00 pm and August 26th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $21-25. This hilarious revue about life, love and laughter showcases the musical and comical gifts of three of the Boston area's favorite multi-talented entertainers.

St. George, Stoneham native and town cheerleader, is currently appearing in "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" which just celebrated it's first year anniversary at the STUART STREET PLAYHOUSE. She won the 2001 IRNE Award for Best Actress for her performances in "Das Barbecu" at the NEW REPERTORY THEATRE and in "Holidaze" at the LYRIC STAGE COMPANY of Boston.

St. George is thrilled about appearing in her hometown and enthusiastic about the newly restored STONEHAM THEATRE (she was the official ribbon-cutter at the theatre's opening last year). A Broadway career kept her in New York for well over a decade, but she returned happily to Stoneham a few years ago suffering from what she calls "the Dorothy syndrome," referring to the character in "The Wizard of Oz" whose overwhelming desire is to "go home."

Bobbie Steinbach was named "Outstanding Actress in a Small Company" at the 2001 Elliot Norton Awards for her performances in "Stonewall Jackson's House" at the NEW REPERTORY THEATRE; "Sailing Down the Amazon" at the Women on Top Festival and "Over the River an Through the Woods" at the LYRIC STAGE COMPANY of Boston. She recently appeared as Eulalie Makecknie Shinn in "The Music Man" at Michigan's CHERRY COUNTY PLAYHOUSE. Steinbach has written and performed in a number of musical comedy reviews including "A Woman Alone Onstage with a Piano, A Stool, a Lamp, an Attractive Piano Player, Several Cheap Theatrical Props and A Very Big Mouth;" "New Punims," with Lori Glaser, Wayne Barker and Bill Castellino; and with Mr. Saoud and Ms. St. George in "Holidaze: A Christian, A Jew and a Ho-Ho-Homo Too."

Robert Saoud is a favorite in New England theatre circles and has been seen in a wide variety of roles at THE HUNTINGTON THEATRE, NORTH SHORE MUSIC THEATRE, MERRIMACK REPERTORY THEATRE, THE LYRIC STAGE COMPANY of Boston, THE PUBLICK THEATRE, WHEELOCK FAMILY THEATRE, THE PENOBSCOT THEATRE and the LA PUBLIC THEATRE. Robert also performs cabaret in Boston and New York and is a graduate of the Cabaret Symposium at the Eugene O'Neill Center. He frequently shares the stage with Kathy St. George and Bobbie Steinbach.

"Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" is a cabaret revue of classic show tunes, fast-paced schtick and a "laugh til you hurt" sketch involving Judy Garland, Katherine Hepburn and Ethel Merman. The delightful energy of the trio and the hilarious script keep the audience engaged and fully entertained. They are accompanied on stage by music director and pianist, Tim Evans, and bassist, Rob Simering (of BLUE MAN GROUP).

The STONEHAM THEATRE's 2001/2002 Season begins September 7th with "Forever Plaid." Other upcoming attractions include the thriller, "Rope," a revival of "The Little Shop of Horrors" and a seasonal retelling of Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol." Reopened in December of 2000, the theater is a state-of-the-art performance space that accommodates 350, resulting in an extremely intimate viewing experience for all in attendance.
