PLACE "SPOTLIGHT SERIES" Debuts RHONDA ROSS - SUNDAYS IN NOVEMBER
Beginning
on Sunday, November 4th, singer/songwriter Rhonda Ross will begin
a four week engagement at ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC
- 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/).
"Love Is On The Way" is a mixture of Jazz, Rhythm & Blues and original
compositions and will include Ms. Ross singing such selections as
"God Bless The Child," "New York State of Mind," and "All of Me."
Ms. Ross will be supported by a trio. Her Musical Director is Rodney
Kendrick.
Rhonda Ross is considered
by many to be the Princess of American pop royalty. The daughter of
Diana Ross and Motown founder Berry Gordy, she has music running though
her blood. Born in Beverly Hills and raised in New York City, Rhonda's
first musical influences included hip-hop, R&B, and most notably jazz.
"Growing up, my favorite part of my mother's show was always the jazz
section, specifically ïGod Bless The Child' and ïMy Man.'" An Emmy-nominated
actress, writer and director, Rhonda is also a soulful jazz singer
and composer. She has performed in such clubs as Birdland and Fat
Tuesdays in New York and has had concert dates in Europe and Japan.
Her television and film work include her Emmy-nominated role on "Another
World," Showtime's "Bessie Coleman:A Dream To Fly," the NBC Movie
of the Week, "The Temptations" as well as the feature film "Personals."
Ms. Ross's shows will play
Sunday nights November 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th at 8:00 pm. Tickets
to the show are $30 with a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are
