JOHNNY RODGERS DEBUTS SOLO SHOW AT ARCI'S PLACE


Mondays at 7:00 pm, Beginning October 8th

Johnny Rodgers, a newcomer to the Manhattan cabaret scene, makes his solo debut at ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC - 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/) for a four-week engagement. Performances are Monday nights at 7:00 pm starting October 8th. There is a $25 cover charge plus a $15 food and beverage minimum. Reservations are suggested.

Rodgers is a singer/songwriter/pianist who composes and performs in a variety of musical styles and genres. On September 8th of this year, Johnny shared the stage with Sir Paul McCartney and Chrissie Hynde at the PETA Humanitarian Awards at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, performing an original piece of material composed especially for the event. In December, he performed one of his original songs in concert with Michael Feinstein at Carnegie Hall. He was also featured on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" on National Public Radio, in a performance with Broadway actress Linda Lavin.

Since his move from Chicago in June, Johnny has been active in the Manhattan club scene, acting as musical director and performing with Jim Caruso, Sally Mayes and Lina Koutrakos. He participated in the ASCAP Advanced Songwriters Workshop and is currently collaborating with composer Carol Hall.
