MAC and BISTRO AWARD Winner, Julie Reyburn Debuts at FireBird Cafœ

Performances Are Three
Thursdays and One Wednesday in October.
Julie
Reyburn will make her FIREBIRD CAFÄ (363 West 46th Street, NYC-212-586-0244
- http://www.firebirdrestaurant.com/)
debut in October. Opening Thursday will be at 9:00 pm October 4th
with additional performances on Wednesday, October 10th and Thursdays
October 18th at 9:00 pm and at 9:30 pm on Thursday October 25th. This
slightly later start time is to allow cabaret convention goers to
make the show.
Ms. Reyburn is the recipient
of both the 2001 MAC Award and the Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding
Female Debut for her show, "Fate is Kind." She returns to the cabaret
stage after taking her critically acclaimed show, "Near the Fire"
from JUDY'S CHELSEA in NYC to Massachusetts and Connecticut venues
during this past spring and summer with music director Mark Janas.
Most recently, Julie was seen as the female lead in the new musical
PoeSCrypt written by Mark Janas and Paul James at both the Mazer Theatre
and West Park Church in Manhattan.
Ms. Reyburn's FireBird
debut showcases a few moments from her recent ventures as well as
an exciting new collection of songs by composers Laura Nyro, Leonard
Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Julie Reyburn and the debut of a new song
composed by New York songwriter/composer Charles Bloom. Andy Gale
directs, and the musical director is composer/pianist/arranger, Mark
Janas. Julie will also be reunited with the wonderful John Loehrke
on bass and Matt Aiken on percussion.
Previous NYC nightclub
appearances include JUDY'S CHELSEA, DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM, ARCI'S
PLACE, The TRIAD, and DON'T TELL MAMA. Julie is looking forward to
making her debut this year at the Mabel Mercer Foundations's TWELFTH
ANNUAL CABARET CONVENTION on Sunday afternoon October 28th.
As a member of Actor's
Equity, Julie's favorite regional and New York theatrical performances
include OKLAHOMA!, MAN OF LA MANCHA, EVITA, CAMELOT, INTO THE WOODS
and FOLLIES.
