The Joseph Papp Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival, George C. Wolfe, Producer, Fran Reiter, Executive Director, announces that international dance sensation Noche Flamenca returns to JOE'S PUB (425 Lafayette Street, NYC - Tele-Charge: 212-239-6200 - Box Office: 212-539-8778 - http://www.joespub.com/), beginning on Thursday, August 9th and running on Thursdays through Saturdays until August 26th. Ticket prices are $25 and can be purchased at the Public Theater box office or via Tele-Charge.

Noche Flamenca returns to Joe's Pub for an exciting three weeks of passion, fire, and improvisation. For this engagement, artistic director Martin Santangelo has created a new show exclusively for the Pub. For the first time in the United States, improvisation will be integral to each performance by the troupe.

Noche Flamenca is conceived and directed by Martin Santangelo, and features the dancers Soledad Barrio, Ana Romero, Bruno Argenta, Noe Barroso, Jesus Torres, Andres Heredia, Antonio Vizarraga, and Silverio Heredia.

Born of passion, Noche Flamenca was founded in Madrid in 1993 by artistic director Martin Santangelo and his wife Soledad Barrio. Through hard work, love and integrity, Noche Flamenca has developed into one of Spain's most successful flamenco companies. Its goal, since its beginning, is to maintain the essence, purity and integrity of one of the most complicated and mysterious of all art forms. The company relies on a high standard of artists, hard work and a profound understanding of flamenco, without gimmicks. All aspects of flamenco, dance, song and music, are given equal weight and are interrelated in Noche Flamenca, creating a true communal ambience within the company, which is the heart and soul of flamenco.
