LIBBY WHITTEMORE APPEARING AT DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM JULY 11th - 14th

Libby Whittemore has been the toast of the Atlanta nightclub scene for 20 years and was dubbed the "Grande Dame of Cabaret" by the ATLANTA JOURNAL/CONSTITUTION. She has built a following in Atlanta that is second to none. Over the years, Libby has performed in every club and on just about every stage in Atlanta. She has done everything from singing the National Anthem for the Atlanta Braves for the last twenty years, to performing for the Prince of Whales. She has two CDs, "Almost a Legend" and "Guilty Pleasures," both of which received rave reviews from Kathy Janich of the AJC.

In June of 2000 she opened her own supper club called LIBBY'S CABARET (3401 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA - 404-237-1943 - http://www.libbyscabaret.com/). Boasting the finest cabaret talent from around the corner and around the country, Libby's has seen the likes of Margaret Whiting, Kay Starr, Julie Wilson, Jim Caruso, Christine Andreas, Claiborne Cary, Karen Mason and Eric Comstock to name a few. When not welcoming a visitor from the north, Libby herself can be found entertaining Atlanta audiences with her unique blend of song and humor.

And now Libby is coming to New York opening in a limited engagement at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) on July 11th presenting a show she calls "Those Glorious Gals" - a salute to some of her favorite female vocalists of the 40s, 50s and 60s. The show features such songs as "Sincerely" (the McGuire Sisters), "Downtown" (Petula Clark), "Sentimental Journey" (Doris Day), "Walking After Midnight" (Patsy Cline), "Kill Me With Kisses" (Margaret Whiting}, and "I'm Beginning To See the Light" (Peggy Lee).
