The
Howard Fishman Quartet welcomes a series of opening acts during their

- Box Office: 212-539-8778 - http://www.joespub.com/)
engagement, Sundays in July at 8:30 pm. Ticket prices are $12 and

As previously announced,
Dave Hall will open for the Quartet on July 8th, performing a solo
acoustic set. TIME OUT NEW YORK called Hall "a courageous storyteller,
one who tends to write about his life's more tragic events." He has
released three CDs ("Playin' The Man," "Places," and most recently,
"True") on GiuseppeJoe! Records, and is a regular on the downtown
New York club scene (including previous appearances at Joe's Pub).
Multi-talented composer,
pianist, lyricist, vocalist and accordionist Amy Kohn opens the show
on July 15th, combining complex harmonies and rhythmic structures
with illuminating story lines. HX MAGAZINE says "far from just another
chick with a pretty voice and an acoustic guitar, cutting edge musician
Amy Kohn serves up her unique brand of musical innovation."
On July 22nd, Kathleen
Supove kicks the evening off with an avant-garde explosion of the
classical piano recital.
On July 29th, Howard Fishman
Quartet will present the world premiere of "We Are Destroyed," a musical
mediation on the Donner Party that they have been developing in conjunction
with The Public Theater.
These JoeÍs Pub performances
serve as a musical laboratory for the Howard Fishman Quartet, who
will are using the shows to develop and explore material for their
as-yet-untitled third album.
Tickets to events at JoeÍs
Pub can be purchased at The Public Theater box office Tuesday-Saturday
from 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm; Sunday and Monday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
or via Tele-Charge.
