TIM DI PASQUA MAKES HIS FIREBIRD CAFE DEBUT

Multi-award-winning singer/composer Tim Di Pasqua will make his FIREBIRD CAFE (363 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-586-0244 - http://www.firebirdrestaurant.com/) debut on Sundays, August 5th and 12th at 7:00 pm as part of the "ASCAP Singer-Songwriter Series." There will be a $20 cover charge and a $15 food-drink minimum. Di Pasqua, a two-time BACK STAGE Bistro Award winner and seven-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs - http://www.macnyc.com/) nominee, will feature such tunes as "Big Hairy Man" and "Since Love's Come Around," a 2001 MAC nominee for "Song of the Year."

Joining Di Pasqua on stage will be Scott Coulter, a two-time MAC Award winner, and Tom Andersen (http://www.tomandersen.com/) a five-time MAC Award winner. Coulter will perform "Maybe You Didn't Hear Me," which will be on his debut CD, and join Di Pasqua on "The Possibility." Andersen will sing "You Make Me Nuts," and the three will team up for "The Best That I Can Do" and the brand-new "What Do I Know."

Di Pasqua is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters in New York. He was recently profiled in PLAYBILL magazine, and Oscar winner and Broadway composer Stephen Schwartz ("Godspell") has called him "one of the freshest and most melodic of the contemporary cabaret writers." H. Scott Jolley of TIME OUT NEW YORK magazine says, "Why this singer/songwriter's name isn't lighting up a Broadway marquee while Elton John is, remains a mystery. Di Pasqua's penning some of the most original and heartfelt music in town, so catch him now."

As a solo artist, he has performed in major clubs and halls throughout New York: The Bitter End, the Russian Tea Room, Town Hall, Carnegie Hall, Eighty Eight's, the Triad, the Village Gate, Don't Tell Mama and Tavern on the Green. Di Pasqua has shared the stage with Michael Feinstein and Stephen Schwartz, and accompanied Phillip Officer and Alix Korey. He is also well-known for collaborating with Tom Andersen on pop songs such as "Every Night I Sleep With an Angel," which is showcased on Andersen's MAC Award-winning CD "The Journey."

Speaking of CDs, Di Pasqua is about to release his first solo album, "Monster Under These Conditions," which will be available at his FireBird Cafe shows. He also has produced a recording of his new musical, "Synchronicity," co-written with Michael Levesque, and he is working on a two-CD album of "Purpose of Love," the Bistro-winning concert of his songs that featured many Broadway and cabaret stars.
