"CAROL CHANNING + 2" RETURNS TO DON'T TELL MAMA IN DECEMBER

A Celebration of the Music of Jerry Herman and Jule Styne Starring Richard Skipper as Carol Channing and featuring Miles Phillips and Parker Scott

Richard Skipper, acclaimed celebrity impersonator, has announced the first extension of his new production at Manhattan's DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/). New dates are Sunday, December 2nd at 6:00 pm and Saturday September 15th at 8:00 pm.

CAROL CHANNING + 2 is an evening of harmony, humor and heart as Richard's "Carol" is joined by powerhouse vocalists Miles Phillips and Parker Scott for a "old-fashioned variety show" romp through the Jerry Herman and Julie Styne song books. The production is directed by Jeff Matson, with musical direction by David Maiocco.

Richard Skipper has already performed his uncannily accurate impersonation of "Carol Channing" as a featured performer and in solo "Evenings With..." in major venues throughout the United States and Canada. Recent professional highlights include Back Stage magazine's "Bistro" Award, and the 2000 MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Impersonation"; successful debut engagements at San Francisco's THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800 - http://www.plushroom.com/), the Ontario Hilton; and Washington DC's SIGNATURE THEATRE (3806 Four Mile Run Drive, Arlington, VA - 703-218-6500); a tour of Florida's 'condo circuit' for Bobby Breen Enterprises; and the NYC debut of his 90-minute musical revue, AN EVENING WITH CAROL CHANNING to sold-out houses, outstanding reviews and two extensions.

At a special performance for Carol Channing at NYC's Regent's, Miss Channing called his performance, "... the first time EVER I have been shown with such love, respect and polish."

MAC nominated actor/singer Parker Scott's (http://www.parkerscott.com/) credits include regional theatre and opera. His favorite roles include Lysander in MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Archibald Craven in THE SECRET GARDEN, Lancelot in CAMELOT, Giles Ralston in THE MOUSETRAP and Monostatos in THE MAGIC FLUTE. He was recently seen in the upcoming Shakespeare Revue WORDS, WORDS, WORDS & MUSIC at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/), and will be presenting his new cabaret act EYES FOLLOW with Dick Gallagher at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) in September. He has also recently released a CD, based on his previous cabaret show, entitled "Company of Strangers."

Miles Phillips (http://www.milesphillips.com/) has spent the last year performing his acclaimed cabaret show "might as well be. . ." and appearing in theatre productions on the road and in NYC. He received glowing reviews for his recent NY and regional performances as Edward IV in QUEEN MARGARET, Feste in TWELFTH NIGHT, Captain in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Cliff in CABARET, Garry in NOISES OFF!, Alfred/Sam in ROMANCE/ROMANCE and Mordred in CAMELOT (Drama-Logue Award). He has leading roles in the films KEEPERS, CAGED, and K-PAX and has performed in nightclubs from Honolulu to London. Miles recently directed and appeared (with Parker Scott!) in Revolving Shakespeare's new revue "Words Words Words & Music," which played at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/). His CD, "might as well be. . ." can be found in stores everywhere.
