CHRISTOPHER
CASWELL Goes Solo Again in Cabaret Venue

Will perform Wednesdays,
January 9th, 16th and 23rd, at 7:00 pm at Don't Tell Mama
Christopher
Dean Caswell, one of New York's exciting new talents, is returning
to the popular Cabaret Club DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street,
NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/),
where he's performed numerous times. A member of the New York City
Gay Men's Chorus since 1993, Chris also sings with the Chorus' pops
ensemble, Uptown Express, an octet that not only performs at most
chorus concerts but also represents the chorus at various benefits
and fund-raisers and had a successful two night run entitled "Lean
On Me" just this month at DON'T TELL MAMA.
On three consecutive Wednesdays
in January, Chris will perform his solo cabaret show, "Hold On," which
features songs ranging from classic (Gershwin) to contemporary (pop
luminaries Stevie Nicks, Michael Stipe, and Melissa Etheridge, Broadway's
Marsha Norman, and New York songwriters Rick Jensen, Tom Andersen
and Michael Holland), all showcasing Chris' emotional and vocal range.
This engagement takes place on January 9th, 16th and 23rd, at 7:00
pm. Musical direction is provided by James Followell. Admission is
$12.00 with a 2-drink minimum (half price cover for MAC members).
In addition to his work
with NYCGMC, Chris has risen to other challenges, including a lead
role in 1995's critically acclaimed Twentieth Anniversary off-Broadway
revival of "Boy Meets Boy." Chris has also appeared in the 1994 cabaret
show "Songs We Never Sang" and sang back-up vocals for other artists.
