TONY AWARD NOMINEE ANN HAMPTON CALLAWAY PERFORMS "THIS CHRISTMAS" AT FEINSTEIN'S


FEINSTEIN'S at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue, NYC - 212-339-4095 - http://www.feinsteinsattheregency.com/) will present a new Christmas show from acclaimed pop and jazz singer Ann Hampton Callaway on Thursdays, December 6th & 13th, and Wednesday & Thursday, December 19th and 20th at 8:30 pm. She will be joined by an all-star band featuring John Oddo as musical director, Jay Leonhart on bass and Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar. There is a $60 cover and a $39.50 food/beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested, but not required.

"This Christmas" will feature traditional and holiday classics as well as original songs of the season by Ms. Callaway including "Christmas Lullaby," recorded by Barbra Streisand on her current CD Christmas Memories.

Ms. Callaway is one of the most widely acclaimed singer/songwriters working in pop and jazz today. She recently starred in the hit Broadway musical SWING!, receiving a Tony Award nomination for "Best Featured Actress" and won the 2000 Theatre World Award for "Outstanding Broadway Debut." As a songwriter, she is the recipient of ASCAP's Johnny Mercer Songwriting Award. Ms. Callaway received national attention for her song "A Nanny Named Fran," which she wrote and performed for the CBS-TV hit "The Nanny." Her song "At the Same Time" was recorded by Barbra Streisand tor her CD Higher Ground, which debuted nationally at #1.

Ms. Callaway has appeared with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops at Tanglewood and Carnegie Hall, with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, and with Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops.
