BROADWAY ON THE BOARDWALK V
COMING TO RESORTS ATLANTIC CITY

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (May 1, 2001) -- South Jersey Aids Alliance proudly presents BROADWAY ON THE BOARDWALK V, appearing at RESORTS' SUPERSTAR THEATER, Monday, May 7th at 8:00 pm.

BROADWAY ON THE BOARDWALK V features a variety of Broadway singers, dancers, actors and actresses, who generously give their time to perform in this unique variety showcase. This year's credits include performances from Sarah Litzsinger, currently starring as Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" and Marsh Hanson who will be appearing in "Rhythm Club" when it opens on Broadway this fall.

A new attraction to this year's show will be exciting dance numbers, choreographed by Richard Montoya. Montoya has worked with many of Broadway's best performers, including Chita Rivera. Montoya and Rivera worked together in Atlantic City when he choreographed "Chita and All That Jazz," during its past run at Resorts.

Also appearing in the show are the cast of "That's My New York," currently playing at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) - Marcus Kettles, Kimlee Hicks, Traci Reynolds, Maurice Villa-Lobos performing two numbers from the show. Other cabaret and Broadway performers appearing include Teri White, Kristine Zbornik, Lina Koutrakos, Eadie Scott, Ruby Rims, Allison Briner and Valerie Lemon.

An interesting component of this unique event is the Silent Auction. From 5:00 until 8:00 pm, everyone is invited to browse through an extraordinary collection of Broadway and celebrity memorabilia, as well as outstanding entertainment values and place a bid. This year's items include a Teri Garr autographed script & picture, as well as an expired Screen Actors Guild membership card; a script from TV's "General Hospital" autographed by the cast, and 4 VIP tickets for a taping of "The Tonight Show" starring Jay Leno. The Silent Auction takes place outside of Resorts' Superstar Theater.

The proceeds from BROADWAY ON THE BOARDWALK V go directly to the South Jersey Aids Alliance. In four years, this single event has raised more than $200,000.
