SPECIAL DISASTER RELIEF INFORMATION SITE

IN NEW YORK CITY

On November 19th, CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE's own Scott Siegel will be producing a special benefit at TOWN HALL (123 West 43rd Street, NYC), with the funds raised to be used to purchase tickets for Broadway shows during January & February 2002, which will be given to the families of the victims of the September 11 events, as well as to firefighters, police, etc. The distribution of tickets will be handled by the Mayor's Office. As of this moment, the talent for the show will include Chita Rivera, Carolee Carmello, Judy Kuhn, Emily Skinner, Stephen Schwartz, Emily Loesser, Andrea McCardle, Bryan Batt, with many more to be announced later. All performers will sing Broadway show tunes, as this will be a celebration of Broadway. The title of the show is "Broadway's Helping Hands Benefit Concert." Ticket prices will be a very reasonable $30 for most seats and $25 for the back of the balcony. Tickets will go on sale early this week via TicketMaster at 212-307-4100.



"VOICES UNITED," a benefit concert with proceeds going to the WTC Relief Fund/American Red Cross will be held on Monday, October 29th at 7:30 pm at THE CHURCH OF ST. PAUL AND ST. ANDREW (263 West 86th Street, NYC). This night of music will pay tribute to all of those affected by the dire events of September 11th. Broadway's Jeff Blumenkrantz (A Class Act), Victoria Clark (Titanic), Lisa Datz (The Full Monty), Rodney Hicks (Rent), Jamie LaVerdiere (The Producers), Christina Marie Norrup (The Producers), and Tom Schmidt (Annie Get Your Gun) will join cabaret's Mary Foster Conklin, Natalie Gamsu, Chelsea Plumley, and KT Sullivan. Others scheduled to perform are Dave Ippolito, Mark F. LeBlanc, Kim Ramsey, Rodney Sexton, Richard Van Slyke, Carol Tammen, Jack Waddell, and Amy Wolk. The musical director is Barbara Anselmi, and the concert is produced by Mark F. LeBlanc. Admission is $50 for preferred seating. For all other seats, any donation is accepted. Critically acclaimed cabaret performer, Elizabeth Hodes, brings her one-woman show, "Reflecting on Marlene," an homage to Marlene Dietrich, to JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/), on Tuesdays October 16th, 23rd and 30th. All shows are at 8:30 pm. The proceeds of the shows will go to World Trade Center Disaster Relief Efforts.


Tracy Graison will be donating a portion of the proceeds from her show "Keep The Music Playing" at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) to charities of the World Trade Center catastrophe. Remaining shows are Tuesday, October 23rd and Wednesday, October 31st, both shows at 7:00 pm. There is a $15 cover and $10 food/drink minimum.

IN CHICAGO AREA

Ralph Lampkin Music Group presents "A Time For Love" December 3rd, 2001 at 8:00 pm at the Apollo Theatre. Talent confirmed as of this time: Linda Clifford ("If My Friends Could See Me Now"), Jeff Award winners(the Chicago Tony) Alexandra Billings, Hollis Resnick and Sue Conway, "After Dark" award winner Beckie Menzie, critically acclaimed cabaret singer Tom Michael, legendary pianist/singer Audrey Morris, Tom Oman, Michael Laird, Robin Kay, Becca Kaufman, co-host of "Wild Chicago," Emmy award winner Dick O'Day, Steppenwolf ensemble member Bob Bueler and his wife, singer/actress Suzanne Petri, Karyn Bark ("Diary of a Skokie Housewife"), Bob Moreen, Kari Howard, NY based jazz singer Martha Lorin, and child sensation Susan May ("American Girl Revue"). Tickets are $35.00 and will benefit the American Red Cross. The show is co-produced by Rob Coulsen ("Vagina Monologues") and Rusty Hernandez ("Survive This!"). Tickets will go on sale shortly.
