ARCI'S PLACE presents Tom Wopat in New York City Cabaret Debut

WILL APPEAR TWO WEEKS ONLY!! JANUARY 15th through 26th

John Miller and ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC - 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/) are happy to welcome television, film and Broadway star (Tony award-nominee for "Annie Get Your Gun") Tom Wopat to the Arci's family for a limited 2-week engagement beginning on January 15th (Tuesday - Saturday, January 15 Æ26).

In his cabaret show "THE STILL OF THE NIGHT," Tom's rich baritone voice reinvents a set of beautiful standards in a smooth, intimate and sexy manner reminiscent of the crooners of the 40s and 50s. He reveals a talent for singing some of the best-loved songs of the last century in a romantic style that belies his husky voice and ruggedly handsome appearance.

Some of the musical gems Tom will lend his voice to include, "For All We Know," "I Get Along Without You Very Well," and "Makin' Whoppee." Mr. Wopat will be accompanied on piano by his Musical Director Ted Firth with Peter Grant on drums and Ed Howard on bass.

Tom Wopat was nominated for the Outer Critics', Drama Desk and Tony awards for his portrayal of Frank Butler in the Broadway revival of "Annie Get Your Gun." He is perhaps best known for his seven-season run in the TV phenomenon "The Dukes of Hazzard" and most recently was seen on the CBS sitcom "Cybill." He will be seen in January on ABC's "All My Children."

Tom began singing and dancing in musicals at the age of 12. His theater career began in college productions of "West Side Story," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "South Pacific." In NY only a few weeks, he appeared in the off-Broadway musical "A Bistro Car on the CNP." He then signed for the title role of "The Robber Bridegroom" at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC. His Broadway debut followed in Cy Coleman's "I Love My Wife." In 1986 he starred in "Carousel" at the Kennedy Center. Other Broadway credits include the lead role of hard-boiled Detective Stone in "City of Angels" and Sky Masterson in the revival of "Guys and Dolls." Mr. Wopat has released several successful albums on CBS and Capitol Records, yielding several top-20 hits, and has toured throughout the United States and Europe, including a performance at Carnegie Hall with the Cincinnati Symphony.

"The Still Of The Night" will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 9:00 pm and Saturdays at 8:30 and 11:00 pm. Tickets to the show are $30 with a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are strongly suggested.
