Once again, Ms. Whiting and Mr. Bernhardt will sing from the Great American Songbook a variety of solos and duets, including "Day In, Day Out," "Two of A Kind," and "Hit The Road To Dreamland," as well as share anecdotes about their unique musical collaboration. Ms. Whiting and Mr. Bernhardt will be accompanied by Ross Patterson on piano and Brian Glassman on bass.

There are few careers in American popular music to equal that of Margaret Whiting, and fewer still to surpass it. She has recorded more than five hundred songs; had twelve Gold records and thirty albums. Margaret Whiting has introduced collections of the greatest pop standards of all time: "That Old Black Magic," "Come Rain Or Come Shine," "Far Away Places," "It Might As Well Be Spring," to name a few, and of course a song that she will forever be associated with, "Moonlight In Vermont." Margaret Whiting has never stopped entertaining audiences.

Most recently, she was invited to be the premiere performer at a new cabaret room, LIBBY'S CABARET (3401 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA - 404-237-1943 - http://www.libbyscabaret.com/), where she enjoyed a sold-out engagement. She last starred on Broadway in the Johnny Mercer musical, "Dream." She has appeared throughout the country in major musical comedies and plays: "Gypsy," "Pal Joey," "Call Me Madam," "I Married An Angel," "Destry Rides Again," "Plain And Fancy," and the Off-Broadway hit, "Taking My Turn." Margaret appeared in a Rodgers & Hart review with Elaine Stritch and traveled for 14 years in the highly successful hit review "Four Girls Four" with Rosemary Clooney, Rose Marie and Helen O'Connell. She continues to record and her latest album, "Then And Now," received great critical acclaim.

Ms. Whiting also performs in concert halls all over the country, singing with symphony orchestras and big bands. She has appeared in such prestigious nightclubs nationwide as the Copacabana, Coconut Grove and Club Mocombo, and now does selective cabaret appearances in New York and internationally. Her father, Richard Whiting, was the renowned composer of such major works as "Beyond The Blue Horizon," "'Til We Meet Again," "Too Marvelous For Words," and "Hooray For Hollywood." Coached by famed lyricist Johnny Mercer, she recorded for Mercer's company, Capitol Records.

As President of the prestigious Johnny Mercer Foundation and through her public appearances in clubs and concerts, Ms. Whiting makes a concerted effort to get across the vital point that the music of Mercer and Arlen, Rodgers and Hammerstein - all the great masters of the American Songbook Æ is the music for today's young people Æ their heritage. It is not only their parents' music, it is the music of the ages, all ages. She also serves on many boards and committees in the entertainment industry including the Grammy Awards, Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Society of Singers. Every summer for the past 12 years she has been a master teacher at the Eugene O'Neill Foundation's Cabaret Symposium in Waterford, Connecticut, and always finds time to help aspiring young singers and songwriters. It is, however, her singing that provides Margaret Whiting“and all of us“with such great rewards.

Paul Bernhardt is a young jazz singer strongly influenced by Sarah Vaughn and Sam Cooke, with the vocal topspin of Mel Tormœ. He has collaborated with such great pop/jazz singers such as Patti Austin, Vicki Sue Robinson, Diva and Johnny Kemp. As frontman/songwriter with "The Suits," a popular NYC R&B group, Paul has performed at numerous NYC venues and has been a featured musical guest on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "America's Talking." Paul has also appeared at The Beacon Theatre with The Doobie Brothers and Michael McDonald and has performed at numerous benefit concerts and recording sessions with such artists as The Young Rascals, Pete Townsend and Trina Hamlin. Paul has been in the studio this summer recording a new CD comprised of songs from The Great American Songbook, Jazz Standards and original compositions. A respected studio session singer, Paul has been the featured vocalist on numerous national radio and television commercials. Throughout his successful music career, he has sung jingles for AT&T, Domino's Pizza, The Winter Olympics and McDonald's.
