Show To Benefit The Long Island Radio Relief Fund for WTC victims from Long Island

Singer/songwriter Maureen Tomson Villante, who first played ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC - 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/) last summer will bring her new show, "Reflections" to the club on Thursday through Saturday, September 20th through September 29th. Ms. Villante will offer musical reflections culled from her recording career, including "The Thrill is Gone" and "My Man," as well as her own original compositions. Ms. Villante will be accompanied by her Musical Director Fred Gatti on piano, Matt Zee on bass and Charlie Kaye on drums.

All proceeds for Ms. Villante's show are going to The Long Island Radio Relief Fund for WTC victims from Long Island. For those who are unable to attend the shows at ARCI'S PLACE who would like to make a contribution, the address for the fund is: The Long Island Radio Relief Fund, c/o Ridgewood Savings Bank, P.O. Box 769, New Hyde Park, NY 11040.

Maureen Tomson Villante has performed regularly for the NBC Television Network, sung to Presidents and appeared internationally. A solo album, "The Thrill is Gone," for Decca Records, released when she was just 21, landed her a prime spot and well-deserved national acclaim on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. Stardom beckoned, but marriage and motherhood was the talented performer's first priority. Although a "stay at home Mom," Maureen's creative juices never waned. Over the years Maureen has written dozens of songs, and has formed numerous successful performance bands, groups and entertainment troupes; headlined as a solo artist at hundreds of venues up and down the East Coast; opened many new night spots; composed, directed and performed in her own off-Broadway shows, including the acclaimed "Mary Q" (the story of the last night in the life of Mary, Queen of Scots), "MM the Harlot" (the story of Mary Magdelene), and is the creator and star of dozens of sold-out "one-woman shows."

Performances are Thursdays at 9:00 pm and Fridays & Saturdays at 8:30 & 11:00 pm. Tickets to the shows are $30, with a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are strongly suggested.
