Broadway Star Donna McKechnie in Triumphant Return at ARCI'S PLACE


"An Evening with Donna McKechnie: My Musical Comedy Life" October 3rd through 13th

Donna McKechnie returns to perform her critically acclaimed cabaret act, "An Evening with Donna McKechnie: My Musical Comedy Life" at ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC - 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/) for two weeks beginning Wednesday, October 3rd at 9:00 pm continuing through October 13th. Performances will be: Tuesday through Thursday at 9:00 pm and Friday and Saturday at 8:30 and 11:00 pm. Tickets to the show are $30, with a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Donna McKechnie made Broadway history with her Tony Award-winning performance as Cassie in the Broadway production of A CHORUS LINE. Her other Broadway credits include HOW TO SUCCEED ... , ON THE TOWN, PROMISES, PROMISES and Sondheim's ground breaking COMPANY. She won the Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for the Broadway production of STATE FAIR.

A singer, dancer and actress, Ms. McKechnie has performed all over the world including London, Paris and Tokyo. "An Evening with Donna McKechnie" played a limited three-week engagement in August and after receiving sensational notices from all the major critics, the show became an instant sold-out hit and audience demand has precipitated this encore two-week engagement. The show features songs and interesting narratives from her celebrated Broadway career. It also pays tribute to and celebrates many of the people with whom she has worked including Gwen Verdon, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett, Frank Loesser and Stephen Sondheim, among others. Ms. McKechnie is accompanied by her Musical Director Dennis Buck on piano.
