ARCI'S PLACE presents Donna McKechnie 2nd Return Engagement

"An Evening with Donna McKechnie: My Musical Comedy Life" will run January 3rd through 12th

Donna McKechnie will ring in 2002 with 10 performances of her critically acclaimed cabaret act, "An Evening with Donna McKechnie: My Musical Comedy Life" at ARCI'S PLACE (450 Park Avenue South, NYC - 212-532-4370 - http://www.arcisplace.com/) beginning Wednesday, January 3rd and continuing through Saturday, January 12th. Performances will be Tuesday through Friday at 9:00 pm and Saturday at 8:30 and 11:00 pm. Tickets to the show are $30, with a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are strongly suggested.

"An Evening with Donna McKechnie" played an initial three-week engagement in August 2001 and received sensational notices. The show became an instant sold-out hit and audience demand precipitated an encore two-week engagement in October, which also quickly sold out. The show features songs and interesting narratives from her celebrated Broadway career. It also pays tribute to and celebrates many of the people with whom she has worked including Gwen Verdon, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett, Frank Loesser and Stephen Sondheim, among others. Ms. McKechnie is accompanied by her Musical Director Dick Gallagher on piano.

Donna McKechnie made Broadway history with her Tony Award-winning performance as Cassie in the Broadway production of "A Chorus Line." Her other Broadway credits include "How To Succeed ...," "On The Town," "Promises, Promises" and Sondheim's ground-breaking "Company." She won the Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for the Broadway production of "State Fair." Her performance as Sally Durant in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of "Follies" was singled out as "definitive." A singer, dancer and actress, Ms. McKechnie has performed all over the world including London, Paris and Tokyo. She will soon return to Broadway in a revival of Jerry Herman's musical "Mack and Mabel."
