I WAS A BOY" in Nov of 2002 in a New Mondays show at THE DUPLEX.
it was nominated for a MAC SONG OF THE YEAR AWARD in 2003.
I performed it at the MAC/ASCAP Songwriters Showcase at THE LIGHTHOUSE,
NYC in March of 2003.
I also performed it in my "One Night Tour" show of original music
on Sept 19th 2004 at THE DUPLEX.
Marcus Simeone performed it in his show "Cat On a Leash" in November
2004 at THE DUPLEX as well as in March 2005 at DANNY'S.
Terese Genecco performed it in San Francisco during semi-final rounds
at the Cabaret Convention in May of 2003 and at JOHNNY FOLEY'S IRISH
HOUSE in May of 2003. She also performed it at THE BURIEL CLAY THEATER
in downtown San Francisco in April of 2004.
Kate Pazakis performed it in her show "The Sexless Years" in January
& February 2005 at THE DUPLEX as well as ARS NOVA in November 2005.

has been performing this at Helen's in NY and The Gardenia in
L.A. We have received multiple positive reactions and requests
for this song from some very good singers. Jane Scheckter made
a CD demo of this for us this month. But it has not yet been
recorded commercially.

wonderful voice in mind, and was thrilled when he decided
to perform it at the 2002 Boston Cabaret Festival. There's
a live recording of him singing it on my "Fresh-Cut Iris"
CD and a studio version (complete with backup musicians) on
my "Magnum Opuss" CD. Both are available from www.cdbaby.com
and all songs are downloadable from iTunes, MSNMusic, Rhapsody,
MusicNet and many others.
Jinny Sagorin has also performed this song, at the "Magnum
Opuss" CD release concert, where we offered a free CD to the
first person who correctly identified the number of phrases
in this song that were "borrowed" from standards. I'll make

from Songwriter: Thanks to the courage and generous
spirit of Anthony Santelmo Jr and Marcus Simeone "One"
was performed in their respective cabaret shows at both Helen's
(July/Sept. '04; June/July '05; and, Feb.'06) and Danny's
(June '04). Tim DiPasqua arranged and recorded the first demo
of the song for In the Flow Music, and Marcus Simeone, with
Tedd Firth's arrangement, followed up with a rockin' gospel
demo of the piece. "One" was first performed at
the United Nations by Pam Palmieri and later by Kevin Scott
Hall. In 2004, the song was a Finalist in the Tipperary (Ireland)
Intl. Song of Peace Contest, performed live in Ireland by
Pam Palmieri, and recognized as well in the UK Songwriting
Contest and in the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Anthony
Santelmo Jr, Pam Palmieri, Marcus Simeone, Kevin Scott Hall,
Sarah Dacey Charles, and Linda Lebel have each performed this
song in churches, spiritual centers, special events, and concert
appearances in the NYC area and beyond - Marcus Simeone in
Herald Square as part of the September Concerts series at
the '9/11' season; Anthony Santelmo Jr at Turtle Bay Music
School's concert hall rededication ceremony; Pam Palmieri
at the UN-sponsored International Day of Peace Vigil at the
bandshell in Central Park, and at the Angels' Circle ceremony
in Staten Island and Battery Park City on the 2005 anniversary
of '9/11'.
