2006 MEMBERS' CHOICE CD AWARD BALLOTING CLOSED JANUARY 31,
2006
It is the FIRST ANNUAL CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE MEMBERS'
CHOICE CD AWARD, voted on by the 2005-2006 members of CABARET HOTLINE
ONLINE (currently over 350 strong) from all over the world! All members
of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE received a NOMINATIONS announcement via
e-mail to be submitted their nominations by January 15th, 2006.
RULES FOR NOMINATIONS:
1. CDs nominated must have been released for first
sale, in stores and/or on the web, between December 1st, 2004 and
November 30th, 2005. It should not be a re-release of a recording
merely in new packaging.
2. CDs nominated must feature performers who regularly
perform in cabaret venues (not necessarily predominately). So-called
original "Compilation CDs" are acceptable as long as all content has
not been released on a recording before December 1st, 2004.
3. CD nominated must be commercially produced and manufactured,
and on sale commercially (in other words, not produced on a home CD
burner) in CD stores and on the web.
The resulting list of nominated CDs will be voted on
by members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE between January 15th & 31st,
2006 and the winning CD (or CDs, in case of a tie), plus #2 & #3,
will be announced at that time.
We are relying on the two nominators to assure us that
the above rules have been followed. We will rely on our members and
visitors to our website to report to us any nominated CDs listed that
are not in compliance with these rules. Such CDs will be disqualified
(with an opportunity for the nominee to appeal this decision).
If this project is successful, look for more MEMBERS'
CHOICE balloting in early 2006.
