CABARET
HOTLINE ONLINE #040503 - Monday, May 10, 2004
Since 1990 Your First, Best, and Only Complete Source of Cabaret News
If it's anything
to do with cabaret, you'll probably read it here first!
This is a MONDAY Issue of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE which includes cabaret
listings for around the world, and also includes information on all
the banner ads running on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website. The
MID-WEEK issue, normally sent on Thursdays, will include more news,
breaking stories and notes, plus listings of shows offering discounts
to members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
No time for much chat
today (birds are OK) - the issue is running long. Next issue is already
in the works including stuff I didn't have room for. Also, ON THE
WEBSITE THIS WEEK (I promise!) - now that all the MAC ballots have
been sent in, I will be listing my own personal TOP SHOWS OF 2003
- and sending it out first as a special report to all members of CABARET
HOTLINE ONLINE.
Once again
we have a huge amount of news and listings to cover in this issue.
In fact, so much stuff I had to condense some of the listings and
even delete a few items to fit everything in under my word limit.
Items detailed on the BREAKING NEWS PAGE on the website are marked
***
CHARTER MEMBERS SPOTLIGHTED
ON WEBSITE
Since we started the CABARET
HOTLINE ONLINE membership program, a number of faithful members who
joined that first year have renewed their memberships each year and
to honor and thank them, we have added an additional section to our
membership pages. Its our CHARTER MEMBER page - listing folks as they
join for the new membership year, who have been members since July
2001. Once again, thank you for your continued support.
As of 9:00
am today, nine charter members are listed - of the 30 memberships
received since May 1st. You can access the lists of all our members
via the MEMBER LINKS section. The listings for 2003-2004 will be deleted
after the new 2004-2005 membership year begins on July 6, 2004.

GET YOUR BANNER AD ORDER
IN NOW
Last week we hit our limit
for 20 banners on the website, and this week we are running the full
20 as well. But there are plenty of slots available for the next few
weeks or so. But please try to place your banner order in advance
- don't wait until the last minute - we might be "sold out" on spaces.
If you want to promote your shows, CDs, and websites don't be left
out. Banner slots are assigned on a first ordered and paid basis.
For information on banner ads, check out the banner information page
on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website (http://www.cabarethotlineonline.com/BannerHere.shtml),
or simply send me a note at banners@svhamstra.com
with the single word "Banner" in the subject line and I'll send all
the details.
I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR
MORE NEWS
I get plenty of show listings
sent me - far more than I can possibly use - it is really difficult
trying to choose which ones to run, which ones to set aside. Sometimes
the item itself makes this choice - incomplete information or just
a scan of a flier, neither of which is useful to me. I would love
to have more items from outside NYC, especially NEWS items - new venues
opening, benefits, CD Releases, celebrations, new pianos, etc. Add
a website link if available. I have news ready to print about two
new cabaret venues - already in operation - but one contains no reservation
phone number or cover information, and the other did not include the
exact street address.
==== A WORD FROM SOME
OF OUR SPONSORS
==== REMEMBER: Each weekly
issue of the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE newsletter includes listings for
all the banner advertisers on the website - and these items will be
repeated as long as the banner is running. In many cases there are
more detailed articles on these items in the BREAKING NEWS section
of the website. Shows currently running banners are now included in
the regular city-by-city listings, while other cabaret events are
listed here.
