AT TOWN HALL, NEW YORK CITY

The Tenth Annual Cabaret Convention took place Monday, September 27th through Sunday, October 3rd, 1999 at New York's Town Hall.

THE TENTH ANNUAL CABARET CONVENTION

Gala Opening Night - Monday, September 27, 6 PM - All tickets either $50 or $25 - a special benefit show for the Mercer Foundation, with Karen Akers, Ann Hampton Callaway, David Campbell, Barbara Carroll, Claiborne Cary. Jeff Harnar, Julie Kurnitz, Barbara Lea, Andrea Marcovicci, Amanda McBroom, Phillip Officer, Joel Silberman, KT Sullivan, Dr. Billy Taylor, Paula West, Wesla Whitfield, Ronny Whyte and other surprise guests.

ASCAP Contemporary Songs (1975-99) - Tuesday, September 28, 6:00 pm - Tickets $35 or $15 - Songs by Michele Brourman, Francesca Blumenthal, John Bocchino, Craig Carnelia, David Friedman and Carol Hall, sung by Susan Egan, Alison Jaier, Alix Korey, Karen Morrow and others, hosted by Andrea Marcovicci and produced by Michael A. Kerker.

Third Night - Wednesday, September 29, 6 pm - Tickets $35 or $15 - Part 1: Tom Andersen, Bobby Belfry, Richard Rodney Bennett, Jackie Cain & Roy Kral, Joan Crowe, Connie Evingson, Lisa Kirchner, Jeanne MacDonald, Audrey Morris. Part 2: "The Art of Performance" hosted by Steve Ross, celebrating;ebrating Fred Astaire's 100th Birthday, with Mr. Astaire's daughter, Ava Astaire McKensie in attendance. Bruno David Casolari joins Steve at twin pianos, with Brian Cassier on bass.

"Julie Wilson at 75: A Birthday Celebration" - Thursday, September 30, 6 pm - Tickets $35 or $15 - with Lisa Asher, Barbara Brussell, Rondi Charleston, Baby Jane Dexter, Natalie Gamsu, Eric Michael Gillett, Michel Hermon, Cory Jamison, Christian Nova, Lee Roy Reams and of course Julie. Guest star is Cy Coleman.

"Cabaret Jamboree" - Friday, October 1, 6:00 pm - Tickets $35 or $15 - with Eileen Barnett, Charles Cermele, Mary Foster Conklin, Eastern Standard Time, Angela LaGreca, Meg Mackay, Jacqui Naylor, Georga Osborne, Teri Lynn Paul, Billy Philadelphia, Daryl Sherman, Mary Testa, Dane Vannatter, Carla White and Faith Winthrop.

"The Art of Performance" - Saturday, October 2, 6 pm - Tickets $35 or $15 - Part 1 - Marcia Lewis in her one-woman show "On the Road to Chicago" with Mark Hummel; Part 2 - with D.C. Anderson, Judy Barnett, Cynthia Crane, Tovah Feldshuh, Sidney Myer, Tom Postilio, Karen Saunders, Larry Woodard and William Baldwin Young.

"Sunday in New York" - Sunday, October 3, 3:00 pm - Only $15 seats available - (all $35 seats sold to the folks who sponsor TOWN HALL) - with Joyce Breach, Eric Comstock, Natalie Douglas, Tim Draxl, Mary Cleere Haran, Lee Lessack, The Manhattan Rhythm Kings, Karen Mason, Marilynn Lovell Matz, Lainie Nelson, Benjamin Sears & Bradford Conner, Billy Stritch, Lumiri Tubo.

To order tickets, you must send your check made out to The Mabel Mercer Foundation (AMERICAN EXPRESS accepted), to FINELL ENTERPRISES, 301 EAST 79TH ST., NEW YORK, N.Y. - no phone or fax orders, order must be received by August 2, 1999. You must enclose a stamped, self-addressed business size envelope. Don't forget to designate date you want tickets for (and alternate dates) and please remember that there is a 4-ticket limit per night (2-ticket limit for the Sunday show).

You don't need an order form to order tickets, but it helps. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds, no exchanges. No phone or fax orders, but if you need information, call 212-980-3026 or 212-980-3109.


MABEL MERCER FOUNDATION PRESENTS - AT CARNEGIE HALL

1999 is the centennial of the birth of one of the great cabaret and theatrical figures of our time, Sir Noel Coward. The Mabel Mercer Foundation will be presenting some of the worlds greatest cabaret talent in a blowout birthday bash to be held at Carnegie Hall in NYC on Sir Noel's birthday, December 1, 1999.
