THE 1996 MAC AWARD WINNERS

Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) the organization founded in 1983 dedicated to advancing the art and business of live entertainment has announced the winners of the 1996 MAC Awards. These awards were given in recognition of outstanding work done in the 1995 calendar year. The winners in 30 categories were selected by a vote of the membership from a final eligibility ballot that was mailed out in early February.

The winners were announced at the 10th Annual MAC Awards on Monday April 1 at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Broadway at 65th Street.

Following are the winners in all 30 categories:

Major Female Vocal Engagement: Ann Hampton Callaway And Liz Callaway

Major Male Vocal Engagement: Vic Damone

Female Jazz Vocalist: Judy Barnett

Major Female Jazz Engagement: Nancy Wilson

Major Male Jazz Engagement: John Pizzarelli

Comedienne: Elizabeth Wolynski

Comedian: Eddie Brill

Major Female Comedy: Joy Behar

Female New York Debut: Ginni Mcmath

Male New York Debut: Tom Postilio
